To light a beacon of a solidary and just world. This is the meaning of the Foundation for Welthaus Bielefeld. This message is set by the Welthaus Bielefeld for over 25 years now.

    * Global Learning and projects on sustainable development for students, teachers, churches and many other interested groups;

    * Participation in campaigns, for example for the production of clothing, or just the debt of poor countries in order to create a world where all people can participate;

    * The concrete support of social projects in Africa and Latin America, solidarity, partnership and grassroots level, often through long term relationships;

    * And international cultural work that brings the "world" to Ostwestfalen-Lippe, the Weltnacht Festival, the Carnival of Cultures and the culture school program.

The Foundation Welthaus Bielefeld wants to protect this work on a long term and permanent basis The assets of the Foundation shall be imposed in accordance with ethical aspects.

Benefits for donors and benefactors:

Your contribution is tax deductible. Beyond the normal 5% of income, that are tax-deductible for donations, deposits up to € 20,450 can be tax-deductible. We are happy to send you further information.

Benefits for the Foundation:

The income of the Foundation are also subject to taxation. Charitable foundations are tax-favored special. All income can therefore be used without restriction for the charitable purpose.

Ethical investing:

The Welthaus Bielefeld as a trustee of the foundation, has given itself a conceptual framework "for a new way of dealing with money". The assets of the foundation will be investet permanently according to the criteria that is listed above.
